Hello Sitter City Families, My name is Nicole Pytlinski, and I am a teacher and child development professional. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development, and throughout college I taught my own preschool class. For the past year I have been working as a substitute teacher for Simi Valley Unified School District, as well as a private subbing company in Los Angeles (so I might just hold the world record on number of times a person has been finger printed). From January - April of this year, I went to Uganda to intern/volunteer at a school and children's home for kiddos with special needs. I arrived in Uganda utterly intimidated by special needs kids, worried that I wouldn't know how to interact properly with them. By the end of my time there, I learned that at the end of day, they are kids just Read more like any other who have a desire to be known, seen, and loved. I really enjoy working with children and the relationships formed with them and their families. I love to do arts and crafts, spend time outside, encourage a love for learning and natural inquiry, and just be kids with them. As an individual I am highly dependable, honest, and trustworthy. I believe being early is on time, on time is late, and late is never acceptable. I know one of the biggest challenges when entrusting care for your little one is communication, and I promise to do my best to maintain honest, open, and consistent communication. If you're into Ennegrams, I'm a type 5. I'm introverted, I hate parties, and staying out late at night is my nemesis ! I love to read, craft, sew, have family game night, watch the occasional documentary, try new foods and travel new places. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Blessings, Nicole
