I've been working with children since I was 16. I started as a staff member at Suncatchers, an after school program at a local elementary school where I would play with kids ages 4-13, help them with their homework, and make sure no conflicts were arising. When I got to college, I started working for a program called Jumpstart. For this program, I would go into a preschool class 2 or 3 times a week and read to, play with, and educate the children. I've done this for two years and my second year I was a team leader, so I was in charge of my team of college students, the classroom, and I was the liaison between the site manager and my team. I have received countless hours of training to work with preschoolers and feel very capable doing so.
