Hi my names Mikayla! I just completed my degree at Parsons School of Design and am looking for a job opportunity as a babysitter/nanny. Growing up with my mom teaching preschool, I witnessed all of the hard work and effort that must go in to helping children. Every summer I helped out in her classroom during camp time and I loved every minute of it! Helping kids build confidence and form strong bonds whether through a game or a learning activity brought me so much joy by just by helping them in little ways. I loved visiting any time I could and seeing these kids grow up and still remember me when I helped work in their classroom. The best part was when they would remember me and give the biggest hugs upon my return. It was so heartwarming seeing that I made a positive impression on these children. I Read more do have experience with babysitting, but have taken time off from this while working on my degree. In the meantime I have helped my older sister with her two kids that are a toddler and a baby many times. Even though they are my niece and nephew, I still feel that it takes hard work and dedication to create a strong bond with kids and to have them feel comfortable, seen, and heard. By going to a design school, I have learned many ways to think creatively and quickly and I believe these are great tools when helping with kids. Whether coming up with unique games and activities or when a child just needs to be calmed down and listened to. I would love the opportunity to help work with kids again now that I am done with school whether as a babysitter or nanny. I am flexible with times and days as well!
