Hello! My name is Sayo. I am a former second grade teacher looking to continue my work with children outside of the traditional school setting. I am nurturing, attentive, and energetic, and with almost 8 years of experience working with children in various settings, I continue to feel excited about building meaningful relationships and experiences for children. Having worked as a public school teacher, an aid for students with special needs, and in after school and summer programs, I am highly adaptable to children’s diverse needs. I have strong abilities planning and organizing activities, implementing meaningful and explorative learning experiences, and facilitating social-emotional learning. Highly passionate about the impact caring adults can have in the lives of children, building relationships and has always been what I’ve loved most about working with kids. In addition to having a Master’s in Education, I also have my Bachelor’s degree in studio art and Read more particularly love guiding (and learning from!) kids of all ages through their own creative explorations. I do also have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and CPR certification.
