Let's go outside and play! I have 16 years experience working with children. Most of that time I have been a full-time nanny for one family at a time. On four separate occasions I have been the primary caregiver for an infant from the time the baby was about 3 months old, until the family no longer needed me about when the child entered pre-school. My area of expertise is working with children elementary age and younger. I can teach kids ski and snowboard lessons, art lessons, sewing, yoga, sound healing, plant identification (herbalism lite), incorporate advanced learning into the children's interests and work to empower kids to feel confident in new situations -a skill they can carry with them as they grow. When it comes to loving and compassionate nannies there are many really great gals and guys out there. Anyone with my level of experience and kindness of Read more heart is going to have a skillset and confidence around kids that is hard to match. I love kids and almost as important, I really understand them. I also understand the child-parent-nanny dynamic. My intuition leads the way so I know when to step in and out, and do things that need to get done. I understand as busy parents you may need help with light house work, prepping delicious and nutritious organic meals, and light laundry in addition to taking great care of your little ones so you can finish work and enjoy your time off together. The best fit for me: Parents who set clear and healthy boundaries, when they say no they stick to it. This is the number one reason why kids throw fits and misbehave, because they can. If you need help with this I am a healthy boundary master and it comes from a deeply grounded and loving place, I encourage you to listen from around the corner. I will consider working with you in this area if you're really on board to create a peaceful home setting where both parents and kids feel respected. If your boundaries are loose and you give in after being pushed and you'd do anything to have control back I'll also consider working with you. Please be honest on this one as it can make or break a good fit and be the difference in a nanny wanting to stay. This is tough for some to hear and maybe news to new parents. I am happy to elaborate upon interview. In addition this is what I would like: -A great fit with a family -Close to full time at 30-40 hrs/wk -Compensation of $35-45/hr, PTO, health insurance or stipend -Live in opportunity or housing stipend -Weekly and monthly check-ins with the parents
