I worked in an elementary school for almost 11years as the child care supervisor for the A.M. shift( before school). I would take care of a group of 8-10 kids before their school had started. Parents paid the program a monthly fee & signed in their child every morning. I wrote receipts & kept parents up to date on their payments as well as made craft projects with the children. Holidays, birthdays, whatever kind of thing the child wanted to make a special gift for I did just that. The kids also would go outside & we'd play sports of whatever they chose or tag ( yes, I definitely participated) I would handle any disagreements or fights in the program as well as give the appropriate disciplinary action & parents notified. I am still in contact with a few of the students now & see them all over town. Also Read more more parents & I have been better acquainted with & become very well loved & appreciated on the both parts. I was a volunteer 6th grade outdoor education camp counselor 8 times & loved it! I would still do it now if I had more time too! Also babysat 5 kids before school at my home after the program closed & my regular few parents where in worry about who would watch their child now. I volunteered my services to continue the program , kind of but instead at my house & not school, since I have been taking care of these 5 kids for 3years or more now & their parents could not have been more grateful & appreciative with huge smiles. Did that for about 2 years. During that 11 years , I also did the noon duty lunch yard supervisor position, for 3 years. I was just a yard supervisor during the entire lunchtime hours. All at the same elementary school for the morjority of my time & it also happened to be my elementary school as well.
