I am a mother of two adult children. Please do not think of me as an "older" nanny, as I have outworked, and competed in weight training and various sports with adults half my age. The best compliment I can receive is when a family member or friend tells me how amazing the children are doing under my care, and that has happened a few times. I cherish the children I work with. I have experience with infants up to 10 years old, and like I said, raised my two kids to be outstanding adults. I have been a nanny/babysitter for 8 years now. I have a lot of references and am a very responsible person. I do not believe in setting your child in front of the TV and "watching " them. My idea of day care is responsible activities. I have educational games to play for kindergarten through Read more 4th grade children. I like to interact with the infants/children whether it be reading, dancing, singing, jumping, children's rhymes' and various other activities. Unless otherwise instructed by the parents, TV time is limited. I had worked in the past for 18 years in a nursing home so I have tremendous compassion for a variety of people. I am an animal lover as well. If I respond to your posting, please give me the courtesy of a reply. I have watched autistic children, and hyperactive kids and handled them all with respect and discipline, the same discipline I had shown my own kids. I am willing to cook (I love to cook) and do lite housekeeping. I DO NOT just site around. I like to keep busy.
