Hello, my name is Alyse :) I believe it is an honor to be able to work with young children and their families to empower them with the tools and skills I WISH I had at their age. At this point, I have worked with children for almost two decades, and have been tutoring for the last 5 years. Through caregiving, early childhood education, academic tutoring, mentoring, coaching, and at-home learning support for newborns to 16 years of age, I implement the Holistic approach to my work as it is not just caretaking and homework lessons I am assisting with. I first create a safe space to build trust and learn how the child views the world and themselves in it. At the same time I observe how they approach challenges, discover what they think "failure" means, introduce self-reflection and taking ownership, consider the entire family dynamic, and I myself Read more become another example for them of how to walk through life and its inevitable highs and lows. Such observations provide me the foundation from which I can then be of most service to all parties. Being that every family and child is different, through communication, humility, and discernment, I am committed to showing up to each session present, prepared, and ready to support my kiddos as I further learn and understand how they learn, what they love, and how we can do all of this with fun and laughter along the way. Thank you very much, and I look forward to speaking! Best, Aly(se)
