My name is Carrie and I'm a 52 year old woman living in Venice. I am currently looking to change careers and am interested in pursuing a position as a caregiver or a personal assistant. I have spent the last 30 years working happily in the television industry but am now ready for a change. I understand this may not sound like the experience you are looking for but I DO think I have the personality traits that would be beneficial for this position. First off, I have a bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin in Madison and I have worked since the day I graduated. Being a people-person who is able to connect with most anyone from any background, is one of my strengths. I am an assertive and upfront communicator, probably because I'm from the East coast and I value honesty. My driving record is excellent and I Read more have a clean background check. I bought a home in Venice and oversaw a rebuild / construction over a year long process. Managing different contractors and tradesman along with interior designing the finish product strengthened my skills as a problem solver. At work I have thrived under pressure with tight deadlines and am extremely efficient with my time. Lastly, and most importantly, I am a loving mother of two kids who are now in college and I raised them while working full time -- this is no easy feat! The skills of juggling several people's schedules, keeping track of appointments and managing their responsibilities, takes a serious multitasker who is flexible with ever changing expectations and plans. Again, I understand my primary career experience isn't exactly the experience of this position, but I am a proactive, self directed professional and I'd be grateful to be considered.
