I was born in NE, lived my elementary years in Ft Collins, but have been in Centennial and Aurora for the majority of my life. I have a 17 year old daughter who is the light of my life. I love music, movies, animals/pets, nature, the outdoors, long walks and any activity that I can do with my daughter. I have been a nanny for 39 years! I absolutely love what I do, as it’s been my career...not just a step to another job or career. I have cared for children from newborn to tweens, and have experience with special needs children. Most of my experience has been with newborns and toddlers, but I love all ages! I truly feel I have a special connection with children of any age. I have several certificates through PASCO (Home Healthcare Services). I am an employee of this company as a caregiver/Respite Care Read more Provider for disabled and special needs children. I am also employed by a company who places caregivers/nanny’s with Children who have been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome. I am CPR and first aid certified and have had all my Covid vaccines/boosters. I believe it is important that the child feel a sense of safety and comfort with their nanny. I am a very loving and nurturing person...and this passes on to the child/children I care for. I am patient and calm in difficult situations, and believe in lots of communication between the child and I. Redirection and communication are my methods for resolving conflict. I do use time-out if all else fails, but I can honestly say that I have not used it very often as I tend to keep the children occupied and fill their days with activities and fun. I am a very devoted nanny and focus my efforts on providing a safe, loving and FUN environment for the child/children I care for, and will always treat them as if I were caring for my own. I have created a special bond with all the children I’ve worked for and still remain in contact with several of them! Some are now in college! Being a nanny has been and continues to be such a joy for me. The feeling of making a difference in a little ones life is so very rewarding! I will continue to be a nanny for as long as I can!
