Hello and thank you for considering me. My name is Tobya I am from Boulder, Colorado USA and I am eager to assist in the teaching of English to students of all ages I am searching for a governess, nanny, or tutor position. I am loving, caring and very intuitive, having awareness of the behavioral patterns of children and the ability to monitor them and care for their needs. I have a diverse background in the care and education of children in private homes and in a classroom setting. I greatly enjoy teaching English through play, movement, dance, yoga, songs and everyday routines such as getting dressed, meal times etc. Many of my friends back home call me the baby whisper, as I am gifted at tuning into the sensitive needs of small children. I am responsible and live life with integrity above all. I also volunteer to teaching Art in English to the local community one or two afternoons a week. Before coming to Italy, I had my own business as a Massage Therapist, Meditation teacher and Life Coach. When working with new students, I find it useful to observe, interact, and identify the learning styles that best fit the child or children I am working with, and then experiment with a myriad of teaching techniques and activities. My teaching strategy is one that integrates a variety of methods and techniques, appealing to this diversity of students. I feel it’s important to maintain flexibility to adapt to various situations. All students differ from each other in their preferences. When it comes to learning a new language, each student receives, processes and stores information differently. So, I use a mixture of traditional papers and pencils while interweaving it with several collaborative and even hands-on activities, igniting the children on many levels: visual, musical, verbal, kinesthetic, logical, social, and solitary (interpersonal). The most important thing is that learning should be fun and playful Making the children laugh while they are learning is of high importance! Interests & Hobbies: My hobbies are Yoga, dance, all art forms especially ceramics and painting, I played the violin when I was younger and am now beginning after a long break starting to play it again.
