I’ve worked with kids all my life. If I’m not working with kids, I’m writing and illustrating whimsical stories for them, as I’m also a published writer and professional illustrator who loves to focus her creativity on children’s books, illustrated fun maps (like the Downtown Boulder Visitor map and the directory maps along the Pearl Street Mall) and also illustrating Liberty Puzzles, logos, book covers, brochures and websites. I’ve had many jobs working with children, a few including: babysitting, camp counseling, performing plays & songs for kids, leading games, putting on puppet shows, reading stories to them, teaching Art & Spanish at Montessori schools as well as nannying. I feel the most inspired as a creative when I have children in my life! And I enjoy children the most when I have art projects going on. I’ve performed regular puppet shows for kids of all ages while working as a teacher and assistant teacher at various Montessori schools over the years. I still have the entire “cast” of these productions, so I come with professional puppet shows for your kids. I also have experience teaching art classes for preschoolers, lower & upper elementary. Another thing that sets me apart from other nannies, is that I am currently writing and illustrating a trilogy for upper elementary & junior high kids right now that makes for excellent story time! I’m an animated storyteller and can make up riveting family friendly stories for children on the spot, read them my picture book I’m currently publishing, or tell them the story of the trilogy I’m currently writing and illustrating. The kids I used to teach loved it (I had never heard the classroom so quiet). For the record, all my stories & puppet shows come with positive morals that teach children integrity with positive messages. In a nutshell, parents whose children I have worked for have told me it would be hard to find a nanny as fun, caring, creative, versatile, articulate, dedicated & easy to get along with.
