I grew up in northern Michigan, the youngest of four children. The large gap between my oldest sisters and I meant that I started learning and perfecting child care before I was a teenager. I regularly cared for nieces, nephews, and neighbors all through high school. My experience was expanded in college and graduate school where I worked for various families as well as children of professors. I am previously certified in adult and infant first aid and CPR, and recently completed my two Masters degrees in Music. As a violin teacher, I have truly learned the individuality and creativity that each child requires to be successful and have fun. I love the outdoors, cooking, crafts, music, and being silly, and incorporate as much of these as possible when taking care of children. Last year, in my position as a babysitter for a toddler, I frequently incorporated music, dancing, exploring, Read more cooking, crafts, art, and creative, nurturing activities. My philosophy is that every child should be treated as a unique individual with understanding of their developmental levels and needs.
