Hello! My name is Kaitlin, I moved to the Boulder area about one year ago with my husband. I have been in childcare since I was 14 (about 14 years ago) beginning as a babysitter and then becoming a nanny when I was 17. When I was 19 I moved to northern California for college, and continued to nanny and volunteer with children for a few more years until I was about 23. I then took a break from childcare to finish my bachelor's degree in Psychology (where I participated in cognitive learning and child development classes) and to get married. I now live in Boulder with my husband where he is enrolled in a doctorate program in engineering at CU Boulder. I would love to get back into childcare as I enjoy the fun, vibrant joy that kids bring to life. I like to help children learn and I Read more see myself as a safe and patient teacher who values helping kids learn kindness, empathy, honesty and compassion for others. I am Basic Life Support certified, very experienced working with infants, toddlers, and older children. I feel my background in psychology has greatly contributed to my knowledge and understanding of the way kids think and learn. I love children and ultimately I believe that is the most important element to being a good nanny.
