Hi! My name is Simone Plauche. I grew up in a very busy household with 3 brothers. My youngest brother is autistic, which inspired me to pursue working in childcare with special needs children. For the past 8 years I have worked with children in various capacities such as a teacher, therapist, sitter, nanny, and tutor. I believe teaching children through play creates a supportive environment for them to grow and learn. Patience and empathy are two characteristics that I strive to exhibit, and I understand that each child is different and has a unique set of needs. I will work hard to support children and teens with: - daily living skills (including potty training) - emotional regulation - academic tutoring - taking them on outings (whenever possible) - creating an enriching environment Although I plan to work most directly with the kids, I am ultimately here to make the Read more entire family's life easier! I easily adjust to different parenting styles, daily schedules, and last-minute changes. MY EXPERIENCE I have experience working with special needs children and children who have daily medical needs. Many children I have worked with have cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, autism, bipolar disorder, OCD, ODD, ADHD, learning disorders, and many other disorders that present an array of challenges. Although I have mostly worked with children and teens, I also have experience and am comfortable with caring for infants and understand that learning begins at younger ages. I am also extremely comfortable with deep cleaning, organizing, pet care, cooking, transportation, supporting children in home school, and meal prepping. When the “to-do” list is long, I am here to help take off some of the tasks so you can spend more time doing the things you love! MY HOBBIES I love staying active and am very creative. Some things I enjoy doing during my free time include: photography, painting, drawing, hiking, running, yoga, sewing, singing, and many others! I am always looking for new hobbies.
