Well hello there! I am a Colorado certified Early Childhood Teacher with 9 years experience working with children ages 2-12. I started watching children in my mom's daycare when I was 15 and absolutely fell in love with it. I truly am not in my element unless I can share my time with children. I have been the youngest director of an after school program through the Boys and Girls Club, have successfully directed an elementary summer camp program that was otherwise void of curriculum at a private daycare center. I have written and directed a play for 18 children K-12 just because they simply showed interest in public speaking, and have gained the title of Staff of the Month out of 36 of my peers after only 2 months employment at Young Scholar's Academy. I pride myself in how I can relate to my kids and I never doubt Read more my ability to gain a child's trust and make a lasting impact on their life. I love being outdoors, exploring everything I can, whenever I can and having the chance to share those experiences with the children in my care. I thoroughly enjoy doing science experiments every day and I implement the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) technique in all of my activities. I am big drama geek and have been told that it reflects on my teaching style because of my eccentricity. I firmly believe that academics are very important to keep up with and enhance upon even during the summer. This is why I coincide utilizing STEM techniques with the implementation of writing journals and literacy time. This includes daily read-alongs and creative writing/story telling. Like children, I can get bored easily, so I always make sure I have something planned, exciting, and ready to go! I absolutely LOVE what I do and never wish to do anything else. I have so much fun everyday and still manage to be amazed at how much children still teach me. They are such gracious, outrageous, stubborn, determined, free spirited, and hilarious lil' crazies! I am in a place in my life where I am looking to branch out from the daycare setting so I can focus more on individualized care. I can't wait to see what your children and I can accomplish together. I have so much to offer and am brimming with excitement to see what being a part of your child's life will bring.
