I will be moving back to Denver at the beginning of June and am looking to find a summer nanny position before I start graduate school at Colorado School of Mines to pursue a master’s degree in hydrological engineering. I am a Colorado native who has been living in Phoenix, Arizona for the past two years. I graduated from Whitman College, in Walla Walla Washington with a degree in geology in 2013. Since graduation I have been teaching high school math in a Title I school through Teach for America. I have had extensive experience working with kids through mentor programs, lifeguarding, and science teacher aids. From age 15 to 22 I worked has a lifeguard and helped with swim lessons. Throughout college I mentored a 4th grade student weekly. I also volunteered has a student aid for a sixth grade science class. I have tutored all ages, but most Read more of my experience has been with 9-10 year olds. I have also been a swim coach and am currently a lacrosse coach for a high school program. I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. I will not turn on the television when you walk out the door. I love working with kids and filling days with activities, games, crafts, and adventure. I spent my summers playing games and crafting and I take the same approach to babysitting. I love to learn and I try to share that passion with all children I interact with. I believe it is important to work with parents to create a positive, educational, and fun environment for kids to play in. I have a car and am very familiar with Denver. I look forward to meeting families and have an action packed summer!
