I started early as a babysitter, being an aunt of 14 nieces and nephews. My experience includes caring for infants, toddlers, kids and teenagers. My first job was as a couselor in training, working with disabled teens. My first nephew, whom I babysat often, had a rare brain disorder. However it was wonderful to see him grow as an individual and learn how to do his favorite activities like turning on his favorite movies all by himself. I also have plenty of experience with other children who are more independent. I love helping children of all ages find and express their talents. Whether it's art, writing, sports, etc. I discipline children by talking to them and asking them to work with me to complete a task like eating a meal or cleaning up their toys. I look forward to having kids of my own someday.
