I'm a very energetic and playful caregiver who loves spending time with kids in natural, at-home and outdoor settings. My past work experience includes part-time employment with a day care for 3 years while I was working on my Bachelor of Social Work. I also worked as a part-time respite provider for one semester with children with disabilities while I was in the final year of my undergrad. After school, I spent two separate summers as a live-in nanny with my aunt and uncle in CT, caring for their 2 children (ages 9 and 11 at the time). After completing my Master of Social Work in Denver, I worked as a counselor with mothers living in a residential facility with their children (infants up to 1 year), providing counseling and care while mothers were in treatment for substance abuse. Coming from the social work world, I enjoy any opportunities to have a positive impact on a child earlier in life, teaching healthy habits and skills at a younger age so they grow up to be happy, confident, and strong individuals. I think care-giving comes naturally to me because my patience is off-the-charts, I'm fun-loving and silly, high energy, and very attentive. Kids bring out some of the best in me, and I'm excited for new opportunities to learn from them as they learn from me.
