Hello! My name is Gwen, I am originally from Massachusetts and I moved to Denver in September to attend graduate school at DU. I am working on obtaining a Master of Social Work with a certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions. My dream is to one day have my own therapy farm! I have experience working with children of all ages in many contexts. I have worked at 2 summer camps, including an ecology-based summer camp last year where I created themed lesson plans and facilitated daily field trips around Acadia National Park. I have also worked at several after school programs, babysat, and currently I work with some youth clients at my equine-assisted therapy clinical internship. Some of my primary values are honesty, connection, communication, and compassion. I am very responsible, reliable, hard working, and caring. I love being in nature, gardening, working with animals, and doing outdoor recreation like rock Read more climbing, hiking, and foraging. I also enjoy cooking and doing arts and crafts projects. It's a passion of mine to foster childrens' relationships with nature, and as such I would love to work with kids who share these passions and interests! I am in school until June 2nd and then I have summer break until mid-September. While in school I am available part-time, primarily in the afternoons and evenings. For the summer I am much more available and open to both part-time and full-time opportunities on weekdays.
