Hi, my name is Alia, and I am excited to be your nanny! I started babysitting when I was 16, providing care for children ages 3 months-10 years, one of which had a serious disability. Because of this, I have been certified in CPR and trained to clean out and install a feeding tube. In addition to child care, I provided care to the family's two dogs, drove the kids to different extra curricular activities, and managed their schedules. While babysitting, I also worked as a theater instructor at the Warner Theater Center for Arts Education during their summer camp, working with kids ages 6-12. I ran specialized acting classes, and helped produce an end of camp show. I was in charge of taking classes on field trips and coordinating plans for transportation. Professionally, I was a paraprofessional for 1st grade, 8th grade, and 9th grade. This included implementing behavior Read more plans and providing specialized instruction to fulfill each scholar's IEP minutes. I then moved up to be a special education teacher for grades 9 and 11. This included writing IEPs, conducting meetings with the IEP team, co-teaching 9th and 11th grade ELA, writing and implementing accommodations and pull outs to ensure each scholar's IEP minutes were provided. I love dogs, grocery shopping, all things Disney, piano, music and most of all, engaging with kids of all ages, and would love to be a part of your family.
