My name is Marina Callahan. I am 25 years old and love learning alongside kids. My partner and I moved to Denver after completing my undergraduate degree in Arizona. I have been nannying/a camp councilor on and off for the past 10 years and I find that I learn more with kids than I do in almost any other work environment. I also believe I have much to offer the kids I nanny. I can find creativity in any situation and also hold a strong sense of discipline, making it clear to the kids I work with that playing and respect go hand in hand; I value clear and compassionate communication. I also love to spend time outside! I grew up playing soccer, basketball, swimming (you name it) and love to spend a day at the lake or going for hike. I also play music and love to share my love of music with children. I have experience teaching sports and giving music lessons, holding onto and administering medication, tutoring kids, and am comfortable helping with homework, doing light meal prep, cleaning, and driving kids to and from actives. I am an animal lover and will be delighted if there are pets in the home! I grew up with brother who has physical and mental disabilities. Because of this, I have worked within the Special Olympics and am comfortable engaging with and caring for those with disabilities. Currently I am looking for 20-25 hrs a week and charge 25 an hour. I live near Washington park and am looking to work in the area.
