Over my time nannying the last 4 years I have found my passion, being a part of child development-duh! I will be returning to school for social work and child psychology to dig deep into how to further help our future generations through serving the mental, emotional and physical well-being of the children in my community as I do now. Right now this effort is made through creating a strong connection with families and working together to help their young ones find their sense of self and independence, establish a nurturing relationship and thorough feeling of safety and belonging at home, expanding on comfort zones by incorporating new activities frequently, encouraging creativity, and sustaining a stimulating routine. Outside of work, I am an avid outdoors traveler! I have spent the last year living in my van and enjoying every free moment outside. I enjoy climbing, hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, reading, Read more writing, seeing live music, etc. (pretty typical Colorado hobbies-but who can blame me) As someone who has such hobbies, I find it really important to introduce children to such and develop their connection to the outdoors and appreciation of simple pleasures beyond devices!
