I am available to work now but we will need to communicate with each other to see if we can create a good schedule for both of us. I have always enjoyed working with children. This joy has led me to become an Elementary Education major with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse endorsement at CU Boulder in order to become a teacher! After being born and raised in the Philippines, I moved to Colorado and have lived in the area for almost seventeen years. Coming from a diverse cultural and linguistic background (fluent in two languages, Read more proficient in two others), I find how incredibly important it is to help foster the same identities in all children, regardless of their background; Children begin to form their identities from a young age and I find how crucial it is for me to always try my best to find common ground with everyone I work with. Whether it’s cooking/baking projects, playing games, arts and crafts, or spending time outdoors— I love nothing more than ensuring that I create a comfortable, engaging, and fun environment when I spend time with children! Creating a nurturing, relatable, and trusting relationship with children is a top priority, but establishing that same relationship with families and caregivers follow closely behind. Establishing a mutual trust with family members is just as important to me in order to maintain a healthy, communicable, and engaging relationship.
