Hello! My name is Dulcie and I am a young professional who takes pride in my work with children. Here is an outline of my experience as a child care provider! As soon as I was old enough (around 14 years old), I started helping out at my little brother’s daycare in afternoons, which began my love for child care. In high school, I began a part-time job working at an in-home daycare with around 8 children aged 0-5 and continued working there until I graduated high school. In my years at university, I had the pleasure of working for another in-home daycare with a total of 11 children, also aged 0-5. Along with the daycare, I began nannying during summers and loved it! When I decided to make the move to Colorado, I was a full-time nanny for three children. This position included (but not limited to) preparing nutritious Read more meals, transporting children to school and activities, and keeping the house tidy. After a year of nannying, I decided to take a break from childcare and accepted a job as a Care Taker. In this position I cared for individuals of all ages with special needs, assisting with nutrition, personal hygiene, and companionship. When I realized my passion is working with younger children, I started my adventure as an Associate Preschool Teacher, teaching a class of 12 4-5 year olds! For the past year I have been enjoying my life as a Preschool Teacher, but am now looking to slow down, be able to take more time for myself, and take some time off from the Preschool setting. To specifically highlight my experience as a Nanny, I have provided care for children from ages 0-9. I have provided care for 1-4 children at a time in this position. I have ample experience with children of all ages and take pride in making learning FUN by coming up with projects, exercises, experiments, and experiments. I practice play based learning, which involves observing children’s current interests and incorporating that into learning experiences. Working in a Preschool setting with many children at once has prepared me for almost anything! I am very organized, on my toes at all times, and enjoy keeping children busy and engaged. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and have tons of great references. I would love to provide excellent care for you child/children!
