As a nature-loving curious creative with a fascination for how things function, connect, and flow in the world, I relate well with kids on a level of learning and figuring things out. My philosophy and style of childcare involves taking everyday occurrences and happenings and finding different ways to learn from them. I've always had a talent for watching over kids and being capable of getting them on board with things that need to get done or even in helping to shift problematic behaviors or attitudes, as able to gain their trust. I show that I believe in them and am skilled at explaining things and reasoning with them. I also have a lot of patience for the many states and expressions young folks go through. It takes a tremendous amount to actually get a rise out of me (which kids commonly attempt with many adults), and I always articulate Read more my reasoning with them when they do. This leads to natural respect. When kids can see that they're respected as people it becomes a lot easier to work with them! I'm also competent at the logistical aspects of childcare and like helping families with keeping up the household chores, driving kiddos to therapy or extra curricular activities, and meal prep.
