Hello! My name is Maeve. I have over a decade of experience working in various childcare or education roles. I have experience working as a Nanny, preschool teacher, camp counselor and middle school class teacher. I have a passion for child development, early childhood learning, nature exploration and art. In my most recent Nannying role, I worked with a 11 month old and a 4 year old on the Western Slope of Colorado. We spent most of our days playing in the garden, collecting dandelions, building blanket forts, mixing pancake batter and painting. I’m a detail oriented organizer so I tend to leave people’s homes more tidy than I found them regardless of the mess I make with children throughout the day. I love cooking, doing laundry and spending time with pets. I grew up working with dogs, cats and horses and am used to navigating animals and babies in Read more the same space. I care deeply about working with parents to create continuity and security in a child’s day to day between parents and care takers. I have a background in fine art and Peace and Conflict Studies. I use a lot of these skills in my work with children, helping little ones build fine motor skills, create healthy boundaries, express themselves (verbally or non verbally) as well as ways to sort through conflict (between siblings) or big feelings. It brings me a lot of joy to see kids learn new things and engage with the world. I help facilitate this through lots of developmentally appropriate projects and play.
