Meet Chani

• Comfortable with pets

As the oldest of eight children, my experience in childcare started at a young age. I enjoyed helping care for my siblings. Playing with them, bathing them, and putting them to bed are some of my favorite memories of growing up. My formal employment experience began when I was a teenager; babysitting cousins and family friends' children. Childcare came naturally to me and I enjoyed providing a safe and fun environment to support the innate curiosity of children and their sense of adventure. Even now, spending time with and taking care of children are among my favorite things to do and bring me immense joy. My passion for children has not diminished since then, instead, childcare has become a central part of my life. Taking care of children provides me with the privilege to look at the world from a child’s perspective again. I am also no stranger to various household chores including cooking, cleaning and running for errands if and when required. The five years I spent teaching middle and high school children have broadened my experience with children as well. I learned how vital emotional stability, unconditional love, and support are in early childhood and how instrumental these qualities are in developing their minds, personalities and behavioral patterns as they grow older. I believe that with my experience and skills I would make a valuable contribution to your children’s lives. Given the opportunity, my hope would be to provide an environment for your children that is safe, loving, supportive and fun, in a way that will benefit them into adulthood.
