What makes me good at caregiving is that I have an excitement to learn and understand each individual person/child and their personality, interests and etc… I’ve always had a passion for working with children I’ve been babysitting and nannying from a very young age. I even used to babysit/nanny my high school teachers kiddos when i was attending high school. I have tons of experience with all ages. I worked with special needs kiddos about 4 years. I have QMAP and CPR certifications. I have years of experience with j/g tubes. I’m very familiar with autism, ADHD and many other types of disabilities. I’ve had hands on experience and training with seizures of all kinds. I’m pretty well versed in many de-escalation techniques that work with all ages and abilities. I love working with kids and experiencing the beauty and innocence of childhood. I’m very patient and understanding. I have 7 younger cousins who I have been babysitting and caring for since they were all babies, the oldest is now 9. In highschool I nannied for my teachers (ages 2-4.) I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kiddos, they have taught me more than most adults have and they truly have the brightest most beautiful minds. I’m very outgoing and caring and I can also be a great leader. I can also cook and help with cleaning! I used to work as a para educator in a special Ed school for 3 years and my most recent position was at a respite care facility caring for children of all ages with a wide range of disabilities.
