Hi! My name is Rebecca :) Over the years I've held a variety of jobs, and the ones that I found to be the most enjoyable and fulfilling always involved working with children. I started babysitting about 19 years ago and since then have been a Day-Camp Counselor at a Summer camp, a Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher overseas, a Nanny for two young boys (newborn and toddler) in NYC, and a nanny/house manager for a family of four older children (ages 9-16) in Colorado. I absolutely loved my time (two years) working with the family in NYC. It gave me a lot of experience in collaborating with the parents, to create a plan in ensuring that their kiddos' milestones were met. It was rewarding knowing that you are helping a child develop into a well-rounded, kind human that will be able to one day thrive in the real world. I've been really Read more enjoying the change of lifestyle since having moved to Colorado from NYC in 2020. My hobbies include hiking, paddleboarding, climbing, running, cooking, yoga, learning ASL, drawing, pottery, and I am currently training for a Sprint Tri (fingers crossed). In my spare time I volunteer at Rocky Mountain Riding Therapy which provides equine-assisted service to children with varying physical, cognitive and/or emotional challenges. I have a degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Forensics. I am CPR/First Aid certified for Adults and Children (Exp. 2023) and have a clean driving record. I also have a TEFL certificate with a Young Learners emphasis. I am fully Covid Vaccinated and single boosted. I am also up-to-date on my other vaccinations and plan on getting another flu-shot in the coming months. I would love the opportunity to grow another long-term relationship with a family before I eventually move on to a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
