Hello, My name is Ashley. I started my career in child care many years ago in high school when I would babysit part-time for families in the neighborhood I grew up in. As years went on I decided child care was the career I wanted to pursue. My first official job was working as a para in special education. I initially jumped right into my job in special education and fell in love with the job. Working with kids and helping them reach goals they had been trying to reach for a long time was the highlight of my job. After moving, I stayed involved in the schools, but switched over to becoming an assistant director of a before and after-school program. While doing this job I loved how much planning I was able to do whether it was field trips or different small groups each day for the kids!
