Hello there, It looks like your family is looking to add a new caregiver for your child/ren. I would love to tell you about myself and why I think I would be a good fit for your family! Starting off, I have two kids. My daughter is 18 and just went off to college. My son is six and just starting kindergarten. We have lived in Boulder County for 7 years, after I spent the majority of my years here in Lakewood and South Denver. Honestly I cannot imagine living in a different part of Colorado ever again. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, swimming, adventuring around on our mission to find the best nature made swimming holes. My kids and I (nanny kiddos included) have also been on a mission to try as many parks featured on the Slides and Sunshine website. With the vast age difference between my two Read more children I have first hand knowledge and experience through the different developmental stages. My parenting experience encouraged me to research child development even further. That led me to nannying as a way to have a flexible schedule and gain experience in child development and learning. Through the years I’ve completed the Colorado Shines program for the Early Childhood Education credential although I did go back to nannying before sending in the documentation to be officially credentialed. I was the lead preschool teacher at Foothill’s Preschool in Lafayette. My emphasis was/is in neurodivergence and helping parents/caregivers recognize developmental delays within those first five years. Early intervention is key and helping parents find the community resources they need is a big reason I went back to nannying versus teaching preschool. I feel as though I am able to offer a personalized preschool education experience in your home because of my experience and passion. Learning starts from birth and everything/anything can be a learning experience. I love watching kids learn and absorb the world around them. My personal teaching style would be a mix of Reggio Emilia and Montessori. I am a huge advocate for nature being the first teacher, and planning activities that encourage that learning!
