I recently moved back to Colorado Springs after spending a year working as a social worker in NYC. I am currently working remotely full-time as a social worker for a New York-based non-profit, developing materials for suicide prevention education programs. From 2014-2017, I lived Colorado Springs obtaining my Masters in Social Work in May 2017. I received my Bachelors Degree from Fordham University in Bronx, NY in May 2013, majoring in Psychology. I have experience working with children in various settings - including schools, after-school programs and non-profits working with kids ages 2 to 18. During the summer of 2013, I completed an AmeriCorps Fellowship, aiding in literacy workshops and coaching sports. I have also worked with kids with special-needs, including those with autism, Down syndrome and other physical disabilities. During the 2015-2016 academic school year I worked at a local Colorado Springs high school as a social work intern, Read more aiding in providing social work services in the Special Education Department as well as serving the needs of students in general education. During the 2016-2017 academic school year, I worked as an intern at a suicide prevention agency, providing therapy and support services to teens who struggled with suicidal ideation, as well as children who recently lost loved ones to suicide. I have extensive experience as a sports coach working with kids ages 2 to 18 in soccer, basketball, and baseball/softball in classes, school teams and summer camps. I can provide attention on improving individual sport techniques, homework help, or simply an active and responsible adult to care for your children (and any pets you may have) in a fun environment. I am available for after-school and date night or weekend hours. References are available if requested.
