Meet Lena

• Comfortable with pets

I was born and raised in the mountains of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where I spent my winters skiing, snowboarding, doing Nordic Combined, and playing ice hockey. In the spring and summer months, I ran track and cross country, played soccer, and attended Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp, where I discovered my passion for musical theater. I pursued my passion for the arts at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida where I studied musical theater and improvisation, which taught me to think quick on my feet. Half way through my college education, I spent a summer in Madrid, Spain, where I took a Spanish class and learned a basic knowledge of the language. Growing up, my parents were adamant about travelling the world with my brother and I, so we spent time in Ecuador, Mexico, Italy, Canada, and around the United States. Last summer I spent six weeks travelling Read more Europe with my brother where we saw the ruins in Greece, and the wide range of culture in Berlin, Germany. Being raised in a small town made baby sitting an easy job to come by because my family was heavily involved in the tight knit community. I believe children are an absolute breath of fresh air and can teach one of patience, love, and appreciation of the nuances of life. Because of my passion for musical theater, I have always had an interest in people, as my line of work as a theater artist has invited me to personify a wide range of different people. I find it important to have an understanding of all sorts of people since we all come from vastly different backgrounds. I am also the youngest in my family, so throughout my childhood I had people I looked up to whether it was my dance big sister, a baby sitter, or older brother. They changed the way I grew up, and I only wish to pay that love forward by becoming a big sister for someone else.
