I am a new nanny but I am not new to childcare! I have worked with children in some capacity for all of my life and I am looking forward to becoming a nanny. Most recently I have been a home daycare provider with over 50 hours of training through the state of Colorado and industry specific organizations. Trainings included Safe Sleep, Universal Precautions, Positive Guidance, and Learning Through the Power of Play. My background check was completed through the state of Colorado, and I am CPR/First aid certified. Previously I worked for 13 years as a paraprofessional at an elementary school in Arvada. I worked with most grade levels and tutored small groups in math and reading. Working at the school helped build my knowledge in emotional intelligence and positive behavioral support. I have an amazing and supportive husband, who is a cartoonist, and two adult children who are Read more an inspiration to me. I am reliable, honest, and have a good sense of humor. I believe in child led learning and I am an "on the floor with your children" kind of person. I will interact with them, get outside when we can, and take the time to focus on the things that they are interested in.
