I have four years of childcare experience and I love what I do! Through the years I have been a Nanny for infants, toddlers, and twins. Most recently I Nannied for a boy from 10 weeks until 7 months old. In the past I have also worked at a summer camp with school-aged children and still enjoy teaching kids silly songs from camp. I have nannied for a 1 year old boy for four months, a baby girl from when she was 4 months old until she was 18 months and have been continuing to babysit for her for a year and a half afterwards, nannied for 2 year old twin girls for a summer, and then a 17 month old girl for about 4 months. I am certified in First Aid/CPR and hold a Bachelor's degree in Youth and Educational Ministries. One of my favorite things about being a Nanny is seeing a child's face when they make a connection and learn something new. It's exciting to see them gain understanding and feel proud of themselves! Compassion and attention to detail are my strongest skills and these lead to a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. In my experience in childcare, I have implemented the Love & Logic philosophy in my own way, allowing children to be loved and cared for while accepting responsibility for their actions. I have experience with multiples and am comfortable with household responsibilities. I have knowledge of laundry, cleaning and cooking. I have experience with breast milk handling and storage. I have taught basic sign language to the babies I Nannied for and have seen success with it. As far as communication style, I prefer to be direct and would like parents to do the same with me. I like to keep a daily journal between parents and myself and I can send pictures to Mom and Dad throughout the day if they would like. I like to establish regular communication with the family that I am working for, as I believe communication is a critical component in the success of the family/Nanny relationship.
