My mother did in home day care for over 20 years. My earliest job was helping her during the summer time and babysitting for the families on weekends. My first nanny job was when I was 15 years old and had 3 wonderful summers with an amazing toddler boy. I started working at a child care facility when I was 19 years old. I was the teacher for the 4-5-year-olds and helping prepare them for kindergarten the following school year. After getting married I was lucky enough to be able to stay home with my own two children and loved every minute of it. As they grew and started school I found myself lonely during the day so I decided to go back to work. I was lucky to find a position at another child care facility located nearby and loved the two years I was there. My husband's job Read more took us out of the state for a few years but during that time I was actively volunteering with my children's school and in their classrooms. Once we returned to Colorado I again started working at a local child care facility. I have been there almost two years and do truly love my job and all the children there. I started out working the before and after school program but soon moved into the full time position of cooking for the center. I feed over 125 children three meals daily and love the interaction I get from them with their meal times. I have worked with newborns up to school age children and love seeing the joy and excitement that they experience through their development and growth. I am certified CPR and First Aid. I have three dogs and a hedgehog and am very comfortable with pets in all shapes and sizes.
