I’m a 48-year-old mother of six children, I was a stay at home mom with all of them until the youngest went into kindergarten. They are now ages 17 to 29. I have two granddaughters and another grandbaby on the way. I’ve worked in healthcare for Middlesex Hospital and Yale New Haven health for the last 12+ years as an MA (nursing) And as a child, I started babysitting at the age of 11. I have vast knowledge with all ages of child development, and I enjoy children immensely. I like to go on “Hunnie” ( the name, my niece and her friends and my granddaughters call me) adventure walks, visit the library, do crafts, and I am a great chef and baker. When the children were younger, during nap time, I started up two businesses for a side hustle. I went to online school at NYIP and was a Read more professional photographer for years - mainly doing children’s portraiture, family, portraiture, prenatal and newborn portraiture. I also am a seamstress and had my own baby layette clothing line, Seashore, Snugglies, items I handmade with high end fabric and I sold at local Mom and Pop shops, online, and did numerous craft fairs. I have numerous positive references as I raised my children in Old Saybrook, and was very active in the community in their upbringing. I served on the PTO as the cafeteria organizer for almost 10 years at the elementary school, and I was very involved in all the schools. A testament to my ability to connect with children and work well with them are my own six children, and the wonderful young people they have become today. And I am fine with pets!
