I am a sophomore at Saint Michaels College in Vermont. While I have always done a lot of babysitting and worked with elementary school children at an early literacy program near my home for the past 4 summers, I have mainly worked in food service in order to save money for my education. Now that I am trying to carve out a career in child development, psychology, education, I wanted to spend my time in a field more closely aligned to my eventual career. But more than that, I love children. I find joy in their company and my experience has been that they find joy in my company as well. Aside from my financial need to work, I can think of no better way to spend my summer. I am highly responsible, punctual and have excellent people skills, I exercise common sense instinctively and I know that children feel Read more confidence and security when they are with me. My number one priority is that your children are safe but simultaneously happy. I am open to several children and am willing to drive them to activities. I am able to do light cooking and cleaning as required and am an athlete and a strong swimmer.
