I have an educational background in childhood development and 7+ years of childcare experience as a nanny or babysitter. I am a best fit for families who are interested in the “token economy” child behavior motivation-modification method, in which children learn to consistently exchange positive behavior for a prolonged period of time, in order to receive a delayed reward. (Special snacks, video game time tokens, or whatever else the parents want to reward). This system also expects the diminishing of “unfavorable” behaviors on part of the children, as that behavior will prolong their reward further and will take away points from their overall reward goal, but cal also create a “debt” credit they must pay back with “favorable” behavior (the consequence). This system is great for older children who have ADHD, etc, as well as young children who are learning self control etc, for the first time. This system will Read more most likely lead to tantrums (mostly in the beginning) and is only suited for parents that are prepared to allow the nanny to calmly and firmly wait/sit through a youngchild’s tantrum in order to get to the other side. Tantrums can last as long as your particular child’s will is strong. Once a clear message is established that the child cannot use emotional manipulation to get what they want, they usually learn to not use such methods because they will be a waste of energy on their part. Using this system helps children grow their executive functioning skills, as they learn to cognitively process delayed gratification, continuous goal driven behavior, and emotional self control. I also provide families with deep cleaning services (reflected by an increase in wages) along with general housekeeping duties. I can also provide meal planning preparation (for employees to take to work, packaged in to-go containers). I am looking for a family that will add extra responsibility to my job title (with a corresponding wage increase) such as: pantry organization and maintenance, closet organization and maintenance, deep cleaning, wood polishing, wood floor polishing, etc. I provide a one day free-trial to families who are serious about hiring me but would appreciate a demo trial before any official agreement is made. (Salary rate must be negotiated before the free trial can be offered). Willing to work 52 hours, plus overtime. I have my own car for transportation, but it is a 2 door, 4 seat car.
