My name is Emma, I have lived in New Canaan Ct for my whole life and have tons of childcare experience! I will be entering my sophomore year of college this coming fall at Clemson University. I began working with children a little before my freshman year of high school, ~6 years ago. Over this time I have been Red Cross Certified twice and have learned CPR training for infants-adults. Some of my larger child care work experiences are as follows: - Youth Field Hockey Coach I worked as a paid part-time youth field hockey coach for two years in high school. I was responsible for 20+ girls all middle school aged, I taught them basic skills, how to work as a team, how to understand the game and how to communicate with one another. Working time was Aug-Nov 2016 and 2017 - Part-time nanny for local family I worked Read more as a part-time nanny for close to two years. I was in charge of three kids all middle school aged. My work entailed picking up kids from school, doing homework with them, driving them to and from activities/playdates, cooking them dinner, bathing, bed time, overseeing sleepovers, laundry, and cleaning. January 2017- December 2018 - Camp Counselor I worked for the towns local day camp, Camp Kidsville (previously known as camp PeeWee) for the summer of 2017. I was responsible for about 15 kids aged 5&6. As a counselor I was in charge of making sure all of the kids were engaging in safe and appropriate behavior, mediating arguments and most importantly ensuring that everyone was having fun. In this job experience, I also learned how to work with disabled children and how to understand their needs. Working time was Summer of 2017 - Senior Internship at Saxe Middle School I did my senior year internship at the local middle school, Saxe, I worked in an eighth grade science classroom. My job entailed overseeing work, organizing files, making copies, helping kids with their homework, and some teaching.
