Hi! My name is Jasmine and I am 20 years old. I am a rising senior at Yale studying Neuroscience and French. I am originally from New Haven, but will be an intern in New York this summer, living in Brooklyn, and am looking to work part-time from June to August. I love working with children. It is such an exciting privilege to establish connections with children, take care of them, and learn with them. I received my redcross babysitting certification in 2015 and have periodically babysat ever since. Additionally, in high school I tutored second and third grade students in math, reading, and writing during the academic year. I also spent two summers as a camp counselor in which I developed and implemented fun reading and writing curriculum along with recreational activities and games for 9 and 10 year old students. I also received my US youth soccer referee Read more certification in 2019 and refereed youth soccer in my junior and senior years of high school. For the past two years in college I have been a student teaching assistant on the threes floor of the nationally-accredited Calvin Hill Daycare in New Haven, CT. I help facilitate their daily activities such as mealtimes, music, reading, naptime, enrichment activities, and open play outside. As a premed student I am greatly interested in child wellness and development, and have learned a lot through my experience. It is one of my great joys and pleasures to spend time with children and facilitate their learning and fun!
