Since I was 17 I have babysat for many different families in the US and Canada, with children ages 1-10. For two summers I also worked as a camp counselor at a sleep-away camp, where I shared a cabin with a group of girls ages 10-13 and taught a variety of different classes to children ages 7-14 (for example, arts and crafts and various sports). I also spent a summer teaching swimming to children ages 2-13, and throughout college continued to babysit and help my good friend with her newborn baby. I have never had a live-in position but being a camp counselor definitely gave me an idea of what it is like (especially what with having at least 10 girls at a time to look after!). I would be more than comfortable with a live-in position but also happy to continue babysitting as well. There is nothing that I Read more find more rewarding than childcare, and I love having the opportunity to brighten a child's life. I am full of fun ideas for activities and projects, and am not one to let them watch very much TV (if any!). I went to art school and always like to help the kids with craft projects, and as I mentioned, I can help them with their swimming in the summertime! I can cook and clean (and actually really like to clean!) and am a very safe driver. I am currently looking for a summer position to save up some money to travel to Australia in September!
