I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist with 10 years hands on experience working with and teaching children from 3 months to 5 years old. My first year of experience was at a local NW daycare. There I attended to all three age groups ranging from 3 months to 5 years old. My next year working had me teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in aftercare class for a local public charter school. After that year, I was hired on at the school as a one-on-one teacher to a 3-year-old child who had autism. Working with him was a complete joy. My favorite moment was, after creating a picture book of people he came in contact with and reading it to him every day for weeks, the initially non vocal child call his mother " Mom". The next two years I was hired as a Teacher Assistant for Kindergarten. During this Read more time, I also took the lead in two Literacy Intervention groups. I spent my last two years as a Behavior Technician for grades Preschool to 2nd grade, while also assisting Middle school.
