I am a friendly, patient, hard-working Ivy League graduate looking for a part-time and/or weekend job with a fun, cultured family this summer while I take one summer class, before I start my Masters program in the fall. I am open to continuing with some afterschool and weekend care in the fall as well. I was raised with strong values, good manners, an open mind and a sense of humor - all of which translate into every work environment I've been in. I believe strongly in children's right to privacy and the right to feel safe exploring and expressing who they are as individuals. I had an amazing childhood filled with outdoor adventures (hiking and canoeing), music (I am a classically-trained musician), lots of arts and crafts and too many books to count. I hope to communicate those experiences to any children I care for. I majored in French in Read more college and have a near-native accent and fluency; I have experience traveling abroad and working with people of diverse cultures. I was raised vegetarian, and I am comfortable shopping and cooking healthy meals for people with with special dietary needs. I have a close attention to detail, and always clean up after myself. I am also comfortable tutoring English and history, and mentoring with organizational skills.
