I babysat for a three-child household for about 3 years in Bel Air, Maryland before coming to D.C. for my bachelor's program. The children were ages 6 months, 4 years, and 7 years old. The four-year-old boy suffers from Down's Syndrome, so I do have experience with special needs children as well. Besides that, I worked for Americorps' Jumpstart for a year, which is a program that works to bridge the gap for underprivileged children by teaching them language and literacy skills.
