I've been caring for children since I was a teenager in some capacity. For years I worked with the summer rec programs in the district. Following this I spent several years working for Department of Defense in their military child development centers with infants and their before and after care programs for school age and teens. It was here that I received all my training and certifications in early childhood development as well as the development of school age and teens. I work with every age from newborns up to teens. I provide care sheets for infants and monthly reports of their development. I also give recommendations for toys, books, and other materials vital to their development. With school age and teens I plan activities we can enjoy working on together. I've taught arts & crafts, cooking, creative writing, comic book art, science and engineering (boys love this), drama, digital Read more arts, and photography. I also enjoy playing outside whether playing a game/sport or just running around the playground. I never go to the playground to sit. I always keep kids engaged. I enjoy other activities in the city as well and stay informed about child friendly events and destinations. Additionally with older children specifically tweens and teens I provide chaperone services. Should they want to go to the amusement park or movies with their friends minus mom or dad. I have my own car that seats eight and have a clean driving record and background check. I also have experience driving my wards whether running errands, pickups and drop offs, as well as doctor visits. I also do events, should you have a wedding rehearsal or social event I can provide care for multiple children. Depending on the number of children and age ranges I can plan to have additional caregivers available who are both trusted and professional. We bring games, books, crafts, supplies for science experiments, and even cooking lessons depending on age and kitchen access. Event childcare should be given with notice to ensure proper planning. I do consulting for baby proofing, sleep advisement, behavioral issues, low self esteem, and birthday parties. I have worked with special needs and have been trained in first aid and CPR. I can provide a list of my certifications. I am very friendly and personable. I love to read and have a flare for reading aloud. Even if you aren't looking for someone full time you should definitely keep me in my mind for date nights, events, or much needed help.
