My name's Riley Sloan and I'm a Kansas City native with over ten years of childcare experience. In high school, I began babysitting for neighbors and volunteering in a preschool for neglected children, and I soon branched out to petsitting, housesitting, and tutoring. I worked as a tutor through my later studies and spent five summers working at a summer camp in Minnesota that serves kids aged 8-16. After graduating, I spent a year as a language assistant in a French school and nannied two young bilingual boys. I have spent this past year serving as an AmeriCorps volunteer trying to close the literacy gap in DCPS elementary schools.
