Greetings! I am Jennifer, a certified teacher and Mom. I am currently available to babysit virtually any time . I have much experience with children of all ages and abilities, but most recently with preschoolers and school-aged children. My career in education began with helping Deaf and hard-of-hearing children in Kindergarten through twelfth grade as a "pull-out" teacher. It was quite rewarding, but I soon went into Early Intervention for 18-36 month-olds with all sorts of challenges. I have done a lot of assisting in preschool classes, both aiding teachers in autism classrooms and also by working with" typical" children. I have been employed for many years in the Education field, both as a Lead Teacher and as an assistant, in public and private schools. I have some tutoring experience too, and speak four languages! I grew up in the New York City area and went to NYU and Hunter Read more (for my graduate work), in Manhattan. My daughter is my pride and joy. She entered U Penn in August, and I couldn't be more proud. I miss helping (?) young children and am amazed at how they become independent, critical thinkers and grow rapidly, facilitated by patient guidance and nurturing. I am Amongst others, my main talents are: motivating and participating in singing, dancing and acting. Children can ------- ---------------I am an engaging storyteller while reading to children and making up stories, find make-believe play fun, am happy playing outside, stimulating language development and immersing them in foreign languages, "teaching" gymnastics and other movement experiences! I dance and do karaoke, spend time with friends listening to bands and dining in my free time and am family-oriented. Much of my family is in South Florida and I enjoy visiting with them! I dream of traveling to other countries and even domestically. I absolutely adore children, especially ages 1-10. However, I would definitely consider babysitting for children over ten years of age as well.
