Hi! My name is Damaris. I have over 20 years of experience as a live-in nanny in Miami, Florida after moving to the United States from my home country of Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, I managed our three family restaurants, and worked as a maternity nurse as well all while raising my three children. I still keep in touch with many of the families that I have worked for over the years and I am often invited to family gatherings because I treat each child as if they are my own. As I get older I am no longer looking for a live-in position, but I am very much interested in part time work and full time work that allows me to go home at the end of the day. I am also available for overnights and travel as needed and I do have an up to date passport. Read more I’m great with infants and can be a huge help to new mothers and young families. I don’t mind cooking for the child(ren) and I can certainly tidy up after playtimes and before bed, but I do not want to apply for work that requires cooking and cleaning for the whole family on a regular basis as part of the job description. I treat each child with kindness, respect and never ending patience and I prefer to leave any disciplining to their parents. A few additional things to note: I can understand English but I’m only comfortable speaking Spanish to ensure that I am understood/understanding. I do not (yet) have a license to drive, however I live with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter who can transport me for early and late shifts. And all other times I maneuver on public transportation with ease. I am fully vaccinated and willing to show my vaccine card and work references upon request.
